What is CBGM?

Cannabigerol Monomethyl Ether, or CBGM, is a special kind of cannabinoid in the CBG class. Like other cannabinoids in this category, CBGM has similar properties to CBG. Though there is very little research on this ether cannabinoid in specific, it is possible that it would interact with the endocannabinoid system similar to other CBG class cannabinoids.

Varin Cannabinoid Compound

However, due to the fact that it is an ether compound, it may have its own unique effects that differ from other cannabinoids. This can be seen in how varin compounds can have either similar or very different results, such as with the case of CBDV and THCV.

Potential Benefits

If CBGM shares properties with CBG, it might support well-being in areas like comfort and overall health. Further research on this specific cannabinoid is ongoing.

CBGM History

CBGM was first discovered in 1968 in Japan, which is not surprising given that CBGM is present in the highest amounts in hemp or cannabis landrace strains from NE Asia. However, it is still present in small quantities overall compared to other cannabinoids. Interestingly, naturally occurring CBGM is found in plants with higher THC levels than CBD levels.
